visbot network has been founded in early 2003 by some remaining members of the avsociety. the aim was to establish a group of visualization artists, being organized like a record label. with time passing by, visbot has released over hundred visualization packs for winamp and invited young talents to join the group.

the name of the group came up in summer 2002 at a laub concert in ghent, belgium.

so far, visbot has published presets for winamp’s advanced visualization studio (avs) only. the avs plugin comes with all versions of winamp, except the lite version. it’s basically a toolkit of effects, highly customizable and extensible through addional plugins. a visualization can be saved as a file referred to as preset. video previews of presets by visbot are available on visbot television. if you need help setting up avs, here’s an extended guide.
